I have practiced as a psychotherapist for more than 20 years, specializing in working with children of all ages, and their families, providing a safe, nurturing environment for children to be able to express and manage strong emotions, develop resiliency and learn coping skills.
Areas of focus include sensitive, creative children, low self-esteem, anxieties, perfectionism (not feeling good enough), parental divorce and separation, split households, school stress, shyness, eliciting cooperation, grief and depression, communication struggles, managing strong emotions, selective mutism, and preparation for difficult events.
My approach is to use conversation, a trusting relationship, and creative arts activities to help young people communicate better. I specialize in working with children and their parents together to heal and build a stronger, more satisfying relationship.
I combine my extensive experience, education, and training in child development, psychotherapy, and the creative arts to connect with children and help them to thrive and grow.
